This studio was focusing on Environment, Form and Feedback. I designed a community that embraces the challenges of the site and allows for nature to take its course on the island enabling animals and plants to also create their own spaces. This Island is in an area constantly in danger to flooding; so water is an important landscaping feature both in taking advantage of the water current to create wetland and consciously elevating housing. The people who would choose to live this island are people who enjoy observing natural systems. The island is a place where people can come and learn about living machines, observe wetlands and experience the river. The forms are driven by the circulation of occupants and visitors in respect to the islands organization of work life and play.
